Samsung has recently announced plans to extend Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones and tablets through an upcoming One UI 6.1 update. This move is set to bring cutting-edge technology to devices that were released in previous years, enhancing the user experience for existing Samsung customers.

According to reports from 9to5Google and Android Central, Samsung will be rolling out a slightly trimmed-down version of Galaxy AI to select devices, excluding the Instant Slow-Mo feature. The company’s representative mentioned in a post on Samsung’s community forum in Korea that devices from 2022, such as the S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Tab S8, and Tab S8 Ultra, will all receive the updated Galaxy AI features. Additionally, older flagship devices from 2021 will also benefit from this update.

Instant Slow-Mo, a feature that allows videos to play in slow motion with just a tap, was first introduced with the S24 line of devices. However, Samsung has made it available for S23 models as well, ensuring that users can enjoy this impressive feature across multiple device generations. This feature adds a playful element to video viewing and enhances the overall entertainment value of the device.

By extending Galaxy AI features to older flagship devices, Samsung is demonstrating a commitment to providing ongoing support and updates to its customers. This move not only enhances the functionality of older devices but also ensures that users can continue to benefit from the latest technology advancements without having to upgrade to newer models. It shows Samsung’s dedication to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Samsung’s decision to bring Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones and tablets is a welcome development for existing customers. By investing in software updates and enhancements, Samsung is able to extend the lifespan of its devices and offer a more compelling user experience. This move underscores the brand’s ongoing commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, setting a positive example for the industry as a whole.
