WhatsApp has been rumored to be developing a nearby file-sharing feature for Android users that utilizes Bluetooth technology for some time now. This enables them to transfer files amongst each other without the need for an internet connection. The feature is touted to be end-to-end encrypted, ensuring the security and privacy of users’ data. Additionally, WhatsApp assures that users’ phone numbers will remain concealed during the file-sharing process.
