Apple Strikes Collective Bargaining Agreement with Unionized Store

Apple has successfully reached a tentative collective bargaining contract with the first unionized company store in the United States. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers’ Coalition of Organized Retail Employees, representing the employees at a retail location in Maryland, announced the three-year deal on Friday evening. The agreement includes a 10% pay increase on average and other benefits for the workers.

The agreement now awaits approval from approximately 85 employees at the store in Towson, Maryland. A vote is scheduled for August 6th to ratify the deal.
