Instagram has recently made an announcement about the launch of its Creator Lab in India, emphasizing on the creator-focused educational resource that caters to popular Instagram users in the country. The event, which took place in Mumbai, unveiled this valuable resource that will be available in both English and Hindi, with captions in five additional languages.

The Instagram Creator Lab is an extension of the company’s Born on Instagram program that was introduced back in 2019. This lab is designed to provide resources for content creators in India and aims to empower them with insights and strategies that can help them in their journey. The content for the Creator Lab will be sourced from 14 creators across the country, offering a diverse range of perspectives and expertise. Moreover, Meta will ensure that the content is made accessible to a wider audience by providing captions in various languages such as Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu.

In addition to the launch of the Creator Lab, Instagram also introduced three new features on its platform to enhance user engagement. One of the features, called Comments in Stories, enables users to comment on stories posted by others, with the comments being visible to other users. These comments will disappear after 24 hours, unless the story is added to Highlights, in which case the comments will remain visible. Users also have the option to turn off the comments feature on stories, giving them more control over their content.

Another feature introduced by Instagram is the ability to use cutouts of images as stickers in chats on the platform. This feature allows users to send cutouts of images from their camera roll as stickers in direct messages, adding a creative touch to conversations. Moreover, the company is set to roll out a feature called Birthday Notes, which will display a small hat icon in the Instagram Notes section on users’ birthdays. This feature is intended to increase engagement on the platform by providing users with personalized birthday notes.

Instagram’s initiative to launch the Creator Lab in India and introduce new features on its platform demonstrates the company’s commitment to fostering a vibrant creator community and enhancing user engagement. By providing resources and tools for content creators, Instagram is empowering individuals to express their creativity and connect with audiences in meaningful ways. The new features such as Comments in Stories and Birthday Notes offer users additional ways to interact and share content on the platform, making it a more dynamic and engaging space for everyone involved.
