The Nevera R, the latest creation from Rimac, has set new standards in the world of electric supercars. This upgraded version of the Nevera EV promises even more speed, power, and performance than its predecessor. With the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 1.74 seconds, it beats the original version by a tenth of a second. Generating an impressive 2,107 horsepower, the Nevera R boasts an additional 200 horsepower compared to its predecessor.
Rimac has not only increased the power of the Nevera R but also improved its overall performance. The new electric supercar features better aerodynamics, increased downforce, and improved grip. These enhancements have allowed the Nevera R to shave off an impressive 3.8 seconds from the original Nevera’s lap time on the Nardo Ring, a renowned high-speed track in Italy.
Similar to its predecessor, the Nevera R requires “manufacturer oversight” to unleash its full potential. With this oversight, the electric supercar can reach a top speed of 256mph, surpassing the previous limit of 217mph. The Nevera R is equipped with a 108kWh battery, which Rimac estimates will provide around 250 miles of range under the European WLTP cycle. Although the battery’s certification is pending, the Nevera R is expected to deliver an impressive driving range.
While the Nevera R is a remarkable feat of engineering and performance, it may not be easily accessible to the average consumer. Rimac hints that the company’s focus may shift towards their upcoming Croatian robotaxis, suggesting that the Nevera R could be more of a dream machine for enthusiasts rather than a practical everyday vehicle.
